A: Yes, we ship worldwide.
Q: What makes Mod My...™ different from other customization websites?
A: Mod My...™ is the first website to give users TOTAL control over customization. Other websites only have simple one-click color changing functions, while some even only have drop-down menus with options. We offer a FULL painting environment application that enables users to not only color items by choice, but to DRAW the desired shapes of windows and other features on the item. We are the definition of innovation in customization.
Q: What if I can't use the drawing tools on the site?
A: If you are unable to use the drawing application for any reason, you can still have your dream mod designed by our amazing design team. Click the Request-a-Design link on the menu bar and fill out the information there.
Q: What if I don't like the designs given to me by the design team? Can I be refunded?
A: If you don't like the designs given to you by the design team, unfortunately they CANNOT be refunded. The reason we don't offer refunds for designs is because the design team has to take time out to design mods, and the design team is paid by the hour. If the design team takes time, it is only fair that they are paid for it. If you are concerned with this, make sure that if you are to request a design, be as SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE with what you want. Our design team is good with meeting needs, but we need a starting point. If you find it difficult to express your dream mod to us, attempt to do some sketches of your own, because ultimately only YOU know exactly what you want. You can even upload your own sketches/designs to us via the upload page.
Q: I don't know how to design my mod with the drawing application, but I don't think it's fair to pay the design team for my design. I can't help it if I'm not good with those types of applications/programs.
A: Our design team is VERY passionate about designing mods for our customers. However, designing mods takes time, and anytime time is used on a job, it must be paid for. We try our best to make it possible for anyone to use the drawing software on the website, but if you still cant use it, feel free to try to sketch some designs on your own. You can even have a friend help you with the designs. Whatever route you decide to go, always realize that we will be here to assist you with your mod.
Q: There are a few small pixels unable to be colored in the picture, how can I take care of it?
A: We realize that from time to time you may run into a few stubborn pixels when coloring on the paint application. The reason for this lies in the application itself, but it's a simple fix for you. When you see those stubborn pixels, simply use the pen tool to fill them in, and even change the size of the pen if necessary. If there are more complex problems you faced with the application, please feel free to email our development team with concerns.
Q: I colored my design a color that's not listed in the drop-down menu. What can I do?
A: We understand that in the paint application, we offer a wide array of colors. Unfortunately since we are relatively small, we only offer the colors in the drop-down menus. If you can, please only use the colors in the drop-down menu. The specific shades do not have to be exact, as long as our design team can verify the color in conjuction with the one listed when you checkout. We will soon offer more colors, unlimited in the near future.
Q: I want to be able to _______ on the drawing application, but I can't.
A: If there is a certain type of function that you are familiar with/used to in one of your drawing applications you regularly use outside the website, feel free to email the development team with concerns. We will definitely be offering more features/tools in the drawing application. The development team works hard DAILY researching and improving.
Q: After I finish, how do I submit my design?
A: After you finish your design, if you look in the toolbox on the canvas you should see a save icon, indicated by a floppy disk. When you click it, a prompt window will pop up to allow you to save your mod to your personal PC. When your mod is saved, feel free to look over it before submitting it to us. You will visit the upload page and follow the instructions there. Be sure that you have paid for your design before submitting it to us, because otherwise we would consider it congesting the server and we may delete it. When a customer pays for an item/mod, we clear it from our server to prevent congestion. Make sure your picture is in proper picture format(.jpg or .bmp only).
Q: Can I upload my own drawings/designs done on my own applications outside of the website?
A: Yes, you can upload your own designs/mods even if they aren't created on our website. If you just feel more comfortable designing your mod with your usual drawing application program, go ahead and continue using it. You can still upload the design to us regardless. However, please be sure you have emailed us about the design prior to submitting it, otherwise it will be deleted because it will be considered congesting the server. Also, make sure it is in proper picture format(.jpg or .bmp).
Q: I already submitted my design, but I just thought of something I wanted to change. Can I?
A: As long as you submit the corrected design within 4 hours of the order, you can indeed change your design free of charge. If your updated mod has a price change, it will also be reflected. However, if it has been after 4 hours since you ordered and you want to change to mod, there will be a small convenience fee of $5 charged, simply because the design team has intentions of designing a particular mod and changing up takes extra time because of planning. If it has been after 24 hours and you want to change the mod, unfortunately it cannot be changed. At that point, the design team has already settled on that particular design and already acquired the means to build it. We move fast at Mod My...™ when it comes to getting the customer their mods. We combine quality with efficiency, which is the best formula for customer service.
Q: How long will my design take?
A: Of course the length of time it takes for your design to be completed is dependent on the complexity of the design, but generally a typical custom design takes about 14 days to build. We try our best to build within 36 hours of checkout. The latest we take is 72 hours to begin building, but this will only happen if we have numerous orders backed up. We always use priority shipping, for domestic AND international orders, so you can expect your mod to arrive to you within 3 weeks.
Q: What if I get my mod and it doesn't look the same as my design?
A: This case is HIGHLY unlikely to happen, as our entire basis of existence entails bringing mods to life for customers. If you do however, encounter this problem, please photograph the item and email the picture along with your design to our support team. Things will be resolved immediately for this matter. Our goal is to turn dream mods into reality, and if you don't have your dream mod, we haven't done our jobs.
Q: What if I get my mod and I don't approve of the quality?
A: Our design team is very passionate and takes time to ensure quality with ALL mods done. However, if there was something that you did not like about the mod as far as quality, photograph it and email it to our support team. We will then further discuss options available for you. We will do our best to accommodate you in this matter, but we strive to keep quality a priority.
Q: Why is Google Checkout the only form of checkout?
A: Google Checkout is currently the only form of checking out because we're developing our own personal checkout process. Google Checkout will currently be the only form fo payment as the development team works on it.
Q: Why is the only form of international shipment Global Express Priority? I want a less expensive option.
A: The reason that Global Express Priority is the only option for international orders is because it is the only option that offers a tracking number with USPS. We require tracking numbers with our orders to prevent problems. We apologize if the price is inconvenient, but it is in the best interest to require a tracking number for our customers.
Q: I want to mod my _______, but it's not listed on the site.
A: We are still developing and designing templates to be added to the website. If there is an item that you want modded and we don't have it listed on the website yet, click the Suggest-a-Mod link in the menu bar and fill out the information there.
Q: How can I recommend improvements for the site?
